Trip Summary
Follow in the footsteps of Fritjof Nansen and the other early Arctic explorers with this unique compact High Arctic adventure in Spitsbergen (early March – Mid-May only). This trip combines the exhilaration of mushing your own 6-dog team across the pristine spring Arctic landscape, with spending two very memorable night's sleeping aboard The Noorderlicht, a two-masted wooden schooner frozen into Tempel Fjord over the winter months. The ship itself has modern facilities, including hot showers and bar, otherwise this is as authentic an Arctic experience as it gets and a real boy's own adventure.
